BE PREPARED
As a Boy Scout growing up, we were constantly reminded to be prepared for any circumstance that came our way. As a Christian today, we need to be aware of the battle that wages in places we can't see, and know that we need to be prepared for the attacks of our enemy. He seeks to kill us spiritually or to make us ineffective as Christ's foot soldiers. Put on your armor and be prepared - 1 Peter 5:8 says "Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour." Our call of duty today is to live for Christ, give Him your very best and you will be rewarded for your service to our King!

We are beginning a journey together to get the Scripture into the minds and hearts of our congregation. Each week throughout 2012, we will be choosing a new verse to be studied, meditated on, and memorized. It is hoped that these verses will help us as we put God’s Word to practice in our lives each day that we live. This week's verse is ROMANS 5:8 which reads in the NIV:
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
